Where to Go This Holiday Season

It’s the jolliest of seasons, and Bryson residents don’t have to go far to experience holiday fun. From spectacular light displays to musical performances that will make you want to sing along, we have a list of events where you and yours can have yourself a merry little Christmas:

Lighting of the Square

5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26

710 S. Main St., Georgetown

The holiday season kicks off with the traditional Lighting of the Square in downtown Georgetown. Stores will be open late, and Austin Carolers will provide entertainment. Toy donations to the Georgetown Police Department Blue Santa and Williamson County Brown Santa are encouraged.

Georgetown Christmas Stroll

5-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3., 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4

Downtown Georgetown

The 40th annual Christmas Stroll includes a parade, photos with Santa, live musical performances, live manger and much more. Browse goods by more than 150 artisan, craft, clothing and jewelry vendors, and enjoy food by downtown restaurants and food vendors brought in for the event.

Light Up the Lake

6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 2-4

Old Settlers in Round Rock

This illuminating holiday event includes giant balloons over Bright Lake, a light show, holiday displays, crafts, family activities and more. London Calling, Taylor Red and Austin Nines will be performing.

Holiday Tree Lighting & Santa’s Workshop

6:30-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3

Heritage Oak Park at Cedar Park

More than 50,000 twinkling lights will adorn the largest live oak tree in Cedar Park during the Holiday Tree Lighting & Santa’s Workshop. Enjoy a snow hill, holiday inflatables, an icicle pirate ship, arctic bumper cars, food vendors and photos with Santa (bring your own camera).

Old Town Christmas Festival

9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4

100 N. Brushy St., Leander

Leander celebrates the season with something for everyone during the Old Town Christmas Festival. Take part in the Old Town Rudolph Run or Holiday Community Parade. Shop the Christmas Marketplace from noon to 4 and enjoy children’s activities, live music, crafts and more. Stay for the tree lighting and showing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

For King & Country: A Drummer Boy Christmas

7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5

H-E-B Center Cedar Park

Expect a high-energy concert of classic Christmas tunes and new songs performed by King & Country. Tickets range from $23 to $153.

The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Musical

6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10

H-E-B Center at Cedar Park

A joyous celebration of music and dance that will transport the audience to the North Pole for a peek at the magical lives of Santa’s Scout Elves. Ticket prices start at $29.95.

The Nutcracker on Ice 2021

7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, and Saturday, Dec. 11

Crossover in Cedar Park, 1717 Scottsdale Drive

A cast of 100 skaters will bring the Nutcracker to life at Austin’s only holiday ice show. Tickets range from $10 to $50.

Stars on Ice Holiday Tour

7:30 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 15

H-E-B Center at Cedar Park

Dance champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White join legendary figure skater Kurt Browning and a cast of other Olympic medalists and U.S. national champions for a dazzling performance. Tickets start at $39.

K-LOVE Christmas Tour

5:15-10:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19

H-E-B Center at Cedar Park

Holiday music lovers won’t want to miss this music spectacular with Casting Crowns, Mac Powell, Cain, Dante Bowe and Jordan St. Cyr. Tickets range from $18 to $92.75.

Lightwire Theater’s A Very Electric Christmas

2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24

H-E-B Center at Cedar Park

An America’s Got Talent semi-finalist, Lightwire Theater delivers a captivating show told with skill and technological innovations. This holiday tale involves a young bird who ends up alone and lost at the North Pole who must then make his way home, encountering dancing poinsettias, friendly caroling worms, mischievous mice and more. Tickets range from $20 to $47.50.

Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular

7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27

H-E-B Center at Cedar Park

The world’s greatest cirque performers bring you a holiday experience like none other in an all-new production featuring classic holiday music. Tickets range from $36.50 to $79.50. A $179.50 pre-show experience gives you a premium seat, pre-show cast meet-and-greet, a digital photo and Cirque Musica merchandise.
