People across Texas — and a number of folks not lucky enough to live here — know that the Austin area is a great place to visit during the summer.
Kayak Lady Bird Lake, swim at Barton Springs Pool, boat at Lake Travis, visit a winery, hike at Pedernales Falls State Park, explore Longhorn Caverns — those are just some of the summertime adventures you can expect when visiting Austin.
And our Leander location means Bryson residents can enjoy it all and enjoy it often. But summer fun actually begins within Bryson, thanks to Director of Fun Becca, who has three months of good times planned for residents.
The summer calendar includes resident favorites — Wine & Whiskey Wednesdays aren’t going anywhere — but Becca is also adding several cool events perfect for summer.
The Backyard pool will take center stage this summer, hosting a Flick ‘N Float each month, a Sip ‘N Dip in June and the always popular End of the Summer Splash Bash in August right before kiddos head back to school.
Residents will have several opportunities to celebrate the Fourth of July with Freedom Fest July 1 and a Red, Ride and Blue Parade July 4 — we can’t wait to see the festively decorated bikes and golf carts! Just a few days later, we’re highlighting another holiday with a Christmas in July Meet & Greet.
Families can enjoy a June bike ride, Bingo Night in July and a Back-to-School Breakfast Aug. 16. Catering to adults will be a Beer Pong Tournament and Trivia Nights. Young residents can get creative at monthly Kidz Kraftz afternoons and explore the community during the Finding Nemo Self-Paced Scavenger Hunt. Also happening this summer will be a Fishing Derby, a Hot Nights, Cool Tunes live music and food truck event and a Neighbor Speed Dating event that will allow new and old residents to connect.
Becca also has something special planned for the opening of Dogwood Park — a new playground, event pavilion and dog park that will make its debut this summer.
