Pick a Pie for Thanksgiving

Nov 13, 2023 3:56:03 PM / by The Bryson Blogster

Pie is a traditional Thanksgiving dessert but there’s no law saying you must make one yourself. If you are looking to save some time or aren’t confident in your pie crust-making abilities, there are many delicious options not far from Bryson.

Casa Costa Bake Shop

Located in the heart of Old Town, Leander Casa Costa is a charming bakery filled with mouthwatering options. They bake pies specifically for the holidays, including pumpkin, pecan, chocolate bourbon pecan and butterscotch walnut. They also offer packages of mini pies. Got gluten-intolerant guests? They have gluten-free pie crusts.

Sweet Cupfe Bakery

Known for their beautiful cakes and delicious cupcakes, Sweet Cupfe also offers a selection of seasonal pies such as pumpkin, bourbon pecan, apple, cherry and brown sugar sweet potato pie. If you’ve got overnight guests, we suggest adding brown butter coffee cake or some scrumptious scones to your order.

Weikel’s Bakery

There’s more to Weikel’s than their famous kolaches. They have pies — lots of pies. Seasonal pies include pecan, pumpkin and pumpkin pecan, but you can also change things up with a coconut cream, chocolate, cherry cream, banana cream, lemon, buttermilk, apple lattice or apple crumb pie.

Your local H-E-B grocery store is another option for Thanksgiving desserts. Holiday pies are scratch-made and come in a variety of flavors, including pumpkin cream, maple pecan, apple caramel walnut and all your traditional favorites.
