It was a “paw-ty” recently in Bryson, as residents celebrated the grand opening of Dogwood Park.
This new amenity offers something for both our two-legged and four-legged residents, including a dog park, with separate areas for small and large breeds. It was a hit at the recent grand opening “paw-ty,” with kids running around with their dogs and some owners having their dogs jump and perform tricks. We even had a “ball bar” where residents could pick up Bryson-branded tennis balls to toss for their pets.
And while there were plenty of kids playing with their pups in the dog park, they also had a blast on the playground, climbing, swinging and sliding. An open-air pavilion and plenty of trees provided ample shade. Food trucks were also on hand for the event.
Director of Fun Becca says she’s excited about the event lawn at Dogwood Park and plans to host several “Yappy Hours” there this year.
Dogwood Park is within walking distance of homes in our Plumbago neighborhood. Those living in our Thornberry and Palmetto neighborhoods can easily walk or bike to The Backyard, which also has an event lawn and playground as well as a fire pit, pool, splash pad and an open-air bar and TV lounge.
Other amenities in Bryson include a catch-and-release fishing pond, several miles of nature trails and The Overlook — perfect for picnics and relaxing.
