Bryson is the place to be the fourth Friday of every month.
That’s when The Backyard transforms into Savory Farmers Market, offering a rotating array of delectable fresh produce, organic baked goods, wild-caught Alaskan seafood and locally crafted artisanal products.
Savory Farmers Market is organized by Nathaniel and Sarah Ferguson, owners of Savory Alaska, an Austin area business that sells wild-caught Alaskan seafood. The goal is to support local farmers and producers by making sustainable and artisanal products more easily available to Central Texas communities.
Past vendors at the market have included Savory Alaska; ATX Jerky with beef jerky, pickles, and raw and infused honey; Mi Salsa Jar; and Michelle's Patisserie, offering fresh-baked pastries, cookies and cakes. Papaya at Home, Cedar Elm Ranch Meats, Rose Burkhardt Jewelry, Naturally Mignon CBD & Skin Care and No Label Mushrooms & Microgreens also have been repeat vendors at the Bryson farmers market.
A food truck is usually on hand for those who want to grab dinner as well as the fixings for future meals at home.
The market is open Fridays 3-7 p.m. at 1960 Pleasant Hill Road. And while Bryson residents enjoy the convenience of having it right in the community, the public is also invited to shop the booths. While most vendors accept credit cards, it’s always a good idea to bring cash in case some do not.
We’ll see you the fourth Friday in Bryson!
