Get Ready Leander, Northline is Coming

Need another reason to move to Bryson? Northline, a new mixed-use development, is on the near horizon.

Northline is a 115-acre project in Leander’s transit-oriented development (TOD) area between US 183 and 183A. The vision is to create a walkable urban core of shops, restaurants, offices and more. It is being developed by Northline Leander Development Company (NLDC) in partnership with the City of Leander.

The entire project is expected to include 300,000 square feet of retail space and 700,000 square feet of office space. Also planned is 150,000 square feet of hotel space, 2,000 apartments and 300 townhomes.

Shortly after the groundbreaking ceremony last year, it was announced that The Hub, a food, beverage and entertainment venue, would be Northline’s first tenant. The venue will offer a variety of restaurants and bars as well as a central event lawn and stage. A jumbotron will list daily and evening activities.

Upon completion, Northline is expected to become a destination for festivals, events, farmers markets, movies in the park and more.

Northline is convenient to the St. David’s Hospital, the Austin Community College San Gabriel campus and Leander Station, Capital Metro’s northernmost commuter rail line. The name Northline is derived from its placement at the northernmost end of the MetroRail line.

Northline is just a stoplight away from Bryson. We can’t wait for our residents to be able to get out there to shop, enjoy celebratory dinners, indulge in ice cream Sundays or whatever the day may call for.
